A set of Reed & Barton silver soldered dining car items for the Illinois Central Railroad including a double handled soup tureen with notched lid, side marked with the entwined ICRR herald and bottom stamped Reed & Barton 0135-H 1/2 P ICRR in script. The tureen shows general scratches and nicks but retains a bright appearance. The interior shows moderate discoloration. The tureen fits with the included 6 3/4" oval under liner tray top marked with the ICRR herald, and bottom marked, Reed & Barton Silver Soldered 0135-H 1/2 P ICRR in script. The tray shows standard signs of use with scratches, nicks, dings, and tarnish. A 4 1/2" tall x 5 3/4" wide double handled sugar bowl with lid, side marked with the entwined ICRR herald and bottom stamped Reed & Barton Silver Soldered 0135-H 7 OZ ICRR in script. The bowl shows light scratches to the exterior but moderate tarnish. The interior is bright but shows mild scratches and a few spots of plating wear. See photos for best description.
